A new Rule has been released to allow organizations to check that all API Gateway Stages have X-Ray enabled.

Stax Python SDK v1.3.0 released

Version 1.3.0 of the Python SDK has been released.

This change includes:

  • Add configurable retry settings with sensible defaults during API token authentication
  • Add configurable retry settings with sensible defaults for Stax API requests

Deprecation of PhoneNumber and Tags User attributes

The PhoneNumber and Tags attributes have been deprecated from the User APIs.

These attributes will be removed from the API on 1 December 2022 and from this date will be ignored on Create and Update requests, and not returned in GET requests.

APRA Rule Bundle version 1.1 is now available in the Compliance Module

Stax has released an updated version of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) Standards bundle. This update fixes a rule implementation that was not correctly aligned to the APRA guidance. This new bundle is marked as version 1.1 to highlight that it is a new release.

One rule was removed from the bundle:

  1. RDS instances should not exist in public subnets

One new rule was added to the bundle:

  1. RDS instances should not be publicly accessible

This update will be applied immediately where automatic update is enabled for the Rule Bundle. If you do not have the automatic update enabled, see Keep Bundles Up To Date.

Stax EC2 Wastage now uses AWS CloudWatch Agent memory utilization

Stax's Wastage feature has been improved to fetch AWS CloudWatch Agent EC2 memory utilization metrics when reporting on EC2 instance wastage. This metric, along with CPU utilization, is used to assess EC2 instance utilization.
